Biography

Julianna Brush was honored by WINGS in 2006  for her field work to understand the effect of airborne African dust on the health of Caribbean coral reefs. Currently, she is a marine scientist at NOAA’s Cooperative Oxford Laboratory in Oxford, Maryland and works on assessing the health of fish in the Chesapeake Bay, using molecular and toxicological methods, for both ecological forecasting and supporting effective long-term land-use and development planning in the Chesapeake Bay area.  She also loves spending time passing on her passion for science on to her four year-old son.
